A pop star in the making
Hailing from Texas, LA-based independent artist KC Star got his start by posting covers on his Soundcloud back in 2017, amassing over 150k plays on the platform to date. He now writes, records, and produces his own original music inspired by his favorite pop stars like Kesha, Lady Gaga, Carly Rae Jepsen, and Dua Lipa. His sound is rooted in pop with influences of electronic/dance music, alternative, and rap.
KC Star has independently released seven EPs to date: Colors (2019), Changes (2019), Crushes (2020), Get There (2021), Solo Karaoke (2021), BOYS SUCK! (2022), and THE MIXTAPE, VOL. 1 (2023). Each project has been written, recorded, produced, and released by KC Star himself.
His song U LIKE BOYS found an audience on TikTok upon it's release in 2023, boosting KC Star's audience up 10,000 listeners in one week. He has amassed over 120,000 streams across his catalog, and his songs have been viewed over 900,000 times on TikTok.
As KC Star starts to solidify his voice and sound as an artist, his music puts the rising star's versatility and growing confidence on full display. He's dreamt of being a pop star since he was a kid; now he's making that dream come true.
